Unlock Online Arts Event

Unlock Online Arts Event

We are Imaginal teamed up with Michelle Killington of Vinyl Memories and Empower.Fit to create an Online Arts Event course for Lambeth Made as part of their Unlock program

Utilising their combined expertise of events, youth work and marketing, the collaboration saw an online course designed for young people at risk of not being in education or employment to give them real life work experience, develop their digital and interpersonal skills and their CVs and portfolios whilst being inspiring, fun and engaging in a virtual environment.

As 90% of the project was carried out virtually without the students, guests or course instructors meeting each other until the final week of the course, we believe the project may be a UK first!

A huge element of the program was to teach the students how to recreate Michelle’s successful Youth Jam 2019 event in Myatt’s Field Park for an online audience.

As well as being introduced to different technical elements of event planning such as finance and marketing, the students developed their networking and communication skills each week with guest Q&As from prestigious guests within the events industry, including Sofar Sounds, British Science Association, Young Creators UK and Ella Mesma Dance Company.

The ‘Unlock Talent’ event will take place on Sunday 13th September 2020 at 7pm.

The Head vs the Heart for Transformational Change

When trying to create transformational products or services or even just transforming ourselves, we can get stuck by being too much in the head; stuck in process, the ‘how’.

Alternatively we can get stuck in the heart; knowing what we love passionately but with no idea of what action to take.

We Are Imaginal want to take people from the realm of possibility to actuality and reality. Having experienced this ourselves through simple changes in mindset and applying practical knowledge and structure with a creative orientation, we know anything is possible.

Topics covered:
Structures that determine behaviour.
Your limiting belief systems.
Creativity as a new orientation for your life.
Imagination and Intuition
Defining your product and honing your product pitch.
How to build a usable mockup.
Create a database schema that can be used by developers.
Define the key user stories and build a full user journey.

AND.. how we use all of the above in every day life to create awesome products and services.
